Grandmother’s bags.

Grandma’s funeral this morning.  We did it Buddhist style, with a little bit of Tao mixed in.  Very traditional.  First the boys, then the girls.  Four years ago, I used to mind it a little bit, but now I accept.  There is a place for everyone and everyone in their place.

Grandmother loved her bags.  Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Celine, Goyard, Ferragamo, Bally, Gucci.  Even Coach.  When she was sick, she set aside one LV pouch to place her PTBD bag in for when she got better.  She never did.  We will burn that bag for her 3 days hence.

The one brand she refused to buy was Hermes.  The lady showing off a limited edition Hermes Kelly Caleche wore gloves so as to not mar the leather.  The preciousness of it turned her off.  I suppose if the salesperson handled the bag the way it was meant to be used, Grandmother might have bought out her stock.

I saw this paper version afterwards.  She would have liked it.
